There are 50 achievements for a total of 1000 gamerscore in The iDOLM@STER2. The achievements fall into seven broad categories as shown in the table of contents below. Many of the achievements are unlockable through putting in the required gameplay time, but the hardest ones (the top producer levels) will require becoming quite proficient at producing your idol units consistently over time.

The game is designed so that it takes a minimum of nine complete playthroughs to earn the full 1000G. Not conincidentally, there are nine idols in the game you can produce. Your first complete playthrough will get you between 60G (at worst) and 415G (at best), although it will likely be towards the lower end of that since you're still learning. The remaining 585G must be earned incrementally over the next 8 playthroughs as you go through each idol. One playthrough takes approximately 15 hours to complete.

Go! Our First Job! (5G) (行け! はじめてのお仕事!)

Firstjob-ach

Complete your first promotional job (interview, product endorsement, etc.) with your idol unit. You will earn this automatically after the job you are required to do during week 1 of your first playthrough. The achievement will unlock at the end of that game week.

Compete! Our First Audition! (5G) (挑め! 初オーディション!)

Firstaudition-ach

Complete your first audition. You will earn this automatically after The Debut audition in week 3 of your first playthrough. The achievement will unlock at the end of that game week.

Fight! Rising Moon! (5G) (戦え! RISING MOON!)

Risingmoon-ach

Participate in the Rising Moon festival. You will earn this automatically after the forced loss to Ryuuguu Komachi in week 10 of your first playthrough. The achievement will unlock at the end of that game week.

Finish in a Flash! Odyssey! (5G) (吹っ飛ばせ! ODYSSEY!)

Odyssey-ach

Participate in the Odyssey festival. You will earn this automatically after the forced tie with Amagase Touma in week 31 of your first playthrough. The achievement will unlock at the end of that game week.

Fear! The Training from Hell! (5G) (恐怖! 地獄の特訓!)

Helltraining-ach

Impose the Training from Hell upon your idol unit. This training is a special running-type minigame that pumps up your stats, and it can only be accessed by needing some "help" with the official storyline events. It is highly likely that you will encounter at least one of these during your first playthrough since your idol unit won't be as strong your first time out. There are three ways to access the training from hell.

  • Fail to beat Ryuuguu Komachi at Fujisan Rock in week 21, which is the second time you face them. The game will rewind to week 20 and impose hell training, looping between weeks 21 and 20 until you win the festival.
  • Fail to get any single in the top 20 of Dotop TV by week 36. Week 39 will become the hell training, and week 40 will be the IA Survivor Audition as the secondary way to get an IA Nomination. If you don't pass IA Survivor, the game will rewind to week 39 and impose hell training again, looping between weeks 40 and 39 until you win the audition.
  • Fail to beat Jupiter at Fire Ball in week 54. The game will rewind to week 53 and impose hell training, looping between weeks 54 and 53 until you win the festival.

Gather! IA Nominations Ceremony! (5G) (集え! IAノミネート発表会!)

Appear at the announcement ceremony nominating candidates for the Idol Academy Grand Prix award. You will earn this automatically after the ceremony in week 41 of your first playthrough. The achievement will unlock at the end of that game week.

There are two ways to get to the IA Nominations Ceremony. First is to get a single in the top 20 of Dotop TV by week 36, and you're automatically in. If you don't get the CD ranking, the story will require you to pass the IA Survivor audition in week 40. Either branch you take will get you the achievement after the ceremony.

Take 'em Down! FIRE BALL! (5G) (ぶちのめせ! FIRE BALL!)

Fireball-ach

Participate in the Fire Ball festival. You will earn this after defeating Jupiter in week 54 of your first playthrough. The achievement will unlock at the end of that game week.

Jupiter is tough, but if you lose, the game will rewind and give you a chance to raise your stats then try again. Eventually you will beat them. It's toughest on your first play due to not having many equippable items yet.

Collaborate! Our First Quintet Live! (5G) (集合! はじめてのクィンライブ!)

Successfully perform a quintet live concert with the guest idols you invited. First, win the live with your regular 3-person unit. For your encore song the two extra girls you invited will either show up or ditch you. If they show, the achievement will unlock at the end of that game week.

Aim for it! Our First Ranked Single! (5G) (目指せ! 初ランクイン!)

Firstdotop-ach

Have a single place in the top 100 on the Dotop TV sales charts. This should happen on week 6 of your first playthrough if you pick out your single at your first chance in week 3. The achievement will unlock when that week of play concludes.

Top 50 (5G) (ベスト50)

Have a single place in the top 50 on the Dotop TV sales charts. The achievement will unlock once that week of play concludes. CD sales are most influenced by song high score, fan awareness, and which of your five singles it is (later CDs sell better).

Top 20 (10G) (ベスト20)

Have a single place in the top 20 on the Dotop TV sales charts. The achievement will unlock once that week of play concludes.

Top Ten (15G) (ベスト10)

Reach Producer Level 02. Requires earning a final grade of {D, C, or B} when on producer level 01. The achievement will unlock after the credit roll.

Novice Producer (15G) (新米プロデューサー)

Reach Producer Level 03. Requires earning a final grade of {C or B} when on producer level 02, or {S or A} when on producer level 01. The achievement will unlock after the credit roll.

Ordinary Producer (20G) (普通プロデューサー)

Super-Famous Producer (40G) (超売れっ子プロデューサー)

Reach Producer Level 08. Requires earning a final grade of {A} when on producer level 07, or {S} when on producer level 06. The achievement will unlock after the credit roll.

Idolmaster (45G) (アイドルマスター)

Reach Producer Level 09. Requires earning a final grade of {S} when on producer level 08 (without having produced all idols at least once as leader or member), or {S} when on producer level 07. The achievement will unlock after the credit roll.

True Idolmaster (50G) (真アイドルマスター)

Reach Producer Level 10. Requires earning a final grade of {S} when on producer level 08 or 09. Must also have produced each of the idols at least once as either a leader or unit member. You can check who you have produced in the producer activity report (活動報告). The achievement will unlock after the credit roll.

Snow White Award (20G) (スノーホワイト賞)

Earn the Snow White Award at the Idol Academy Awards during the last week of the game. To earn the award you must amass 100,000 fans (10万) in the northeast region of Japan (北東) and then beat the Utahime-Utaouji Festival (歌姫・歌王子フェス) that appears there. It's OK if your fan count drops below 100K in the region after you beat the festival. The achievement will unlock after the credit roll.

Forest Green Award (20G) (フォレストグリーン賞)

Earn the Forest Green Award at the Idol Academy Awards during the last week of the game. To earn the award you must amass 100,000 fans (10万) in the central region of Japan (中央) and then beat the Utahime-Utaouji Festival (歌姫・歌王子フェス) that appears there. It's OK if your fan count drops below 100K in the region after you beat the festival. The achievement will unlock after the credit roll.

Phoenix Red Award (20G) (フェニックスレッド賞)

Idol Academy Grand Prix (50G) (IA大賞)

Earn the IA Grand Prix at the Idol Academy Awards during the last week of the game. To earn the award you must have an overall total of at least 300,000 (30万) fans and at least one song in the top 10 of Dotop TV at the end of the game. The achievement will unlock after the credit roll.

Perfect IA (50G)

Earn all six awards (Snow White, Forest Green, Phoenix Red, Black Pearl, Ocean Blue, and Grand Prix) at the Idol Academy Awards in the same playthrough. The achievement will unlock after the credit roll.

Strawberry Award (10G) (イチゴ賞)

Idol01-ach

Complete the game having used one idol as group leader. This will unlock after your first playthrough. The achievement will unlock after the credit roll. The achievement title is a wordplay pun on {ichi / one} and {ichigo / strawberry}.

Carrot Award (15G) (ニンジン賞)

Idol02-ach

Complete the game having fully produced two different idols as group leader (cumulative across playthroughs). The achievement will unlock after the credit roll. The achievement title is a wordplay on {ni / two} and {ninjin / carrot}.

Sundae Award (20G) (サンデー賞)

Idol03-ach

Complete the game having fully produced three different idols as group leader (cumulative across playthroughs). The achievement will unlock after the credit roll. The achievement title is a wordplay on {san / three} and {sandee / sundae}.

Yogurt Award (25G) (ヨーグルト賞)

Perform a quintet live concert with any Ryuuguu Komachi member (Iori, Ami, or Azusa) as a guest. They become available to invite after you beat RK at Fujisan Rock in week 21. The achievement will unlock at the end of the game week that an RK member performs with you.

Ritsuko and I (20G) (俺と律子) (Secret)

Ritsuko-ach

Perform a quintet live concert that includes Ritsuko Akizuki as a guest. She becomes available to invite after you answer her questions correctly in all conversation segments during weeks 8 and 30.

The achievement will unlock at the end of the game week that Ritsuko performs with you.
